Shiva Linga -- The Stone of Enlightenment

This is a very spiritual stone found only in the healing waters of the Narmada River in India. The Narmada River is one of the seven sacred sites in India. Located high in the majestic mountains of the region, this stone is accessible only during the dry season and is ceremonially harvested one day of the year.

The shape of the Shiva Linga represents the male energy while the markings represent the female energy. The phallic shape (linga) and feminine triangle (yoni) is representative of balance and fertility in all its forms aiding in spiritual and material manifestations. As in life, the joining of the linga and yoni creates balance and exhibit one of the most profound levels of energy known to man. Energy that unites the lower self with the higher self revealing our perfection and divinity. Everything on and in the universe can be classified as energy pulsing at different rates. The religious motif of this stone predates the current Hindu representation of the Hindu deity Shiva. Further back than the ancient Indus Valley civilization to whom it represented fertility. Not just fertility referencing procreation but fertility referencing all aspects of life.
