Tingshaw Bells

Tingsha bells (small cymbals) are a religious tool used by Tibetan Buddhist monks for centuries as part of specific rituals.  Rituals such as marking the beginning and the end of meditation and to make offerings to "hungry ghosts".  Today, tingshas are used along with singing bowls and other instruments in meditation, music and sound healing.  Other uses include clearing space of negative energies, healing or balancing auric fields, and to focus the mind.

This pair of tingsha bells are made of seven different metals and embossed with a pentagram.  They are connected with a strong 12 inch leather cord.  When the two pieces strike each other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound which directs you to "be here now".
